My first 80 cents
Eighty cents might not sound like much, but to me, it meant possibility. My videos were earning something—and that gave me the confidence to keep going.

See the wins behind the journey ↓If you had told me a few years ago that I would be a stay-at-home mom, running my own online business, earning an income that gave my family financial freedom, and helping other moms do the same… I honestly would not have believed you.
I’m 25 years old and a mom to a beautiful 16-month-old boy. My Amazon Influencer journey started with a laptop on the couch, my baby sleeping on me, and a hope that I could build something of my own.
My husband and I got married in 2023. Since then, he has worked so hard to provide for our family. I was grateful for everything he did for us, but deep down, I felt like something was missing.
His paycheck covered our monthly expenses, but there wasn’t much left for the extras. If I wanted something we didn’t need, I couldn’t just go buy it. If I wanted to help my own family financially, I didn’t really have a way to do that.
More than anything, I wanted an income of my own. I wanted to feel financially independent, buy something without feeling guilty, help my family, and build something that was mine.
In 2024, I heard about making product videos and posting them on Amazon. I didn’t even know what the Amazon Influencer Program was. I just thought, Maybe I can make product videos and upload them somewhere on Amazon.
So I made a few videos. Then I tried to figure out where to upload them and how everything worked. I couldn’t figure it out. I got frustrated, gave up, and completely forgot about it.
I had no idea I had just walked away from something that would eventually change my life.
In May 2025, I had my baby boy. During those early newborn weeks, he would nap on me for what felt like most of the day. I would sit on the couch with him sleeping on me, put my laptop next to me, and start researching.
That’s when everything changed.
I started learning about the Amazon Influencer Program on my own. I didn’t have a mentor, a course, or someone sitting next to me saying, “Do this, then do this.”
It was just me, my laptop, my baby sleeping on me, and thousands of videos and hours of research.
I watched video after video, searched everything I could think of, and took notes. I tried to understand how the program worked, how to create and upload videos, how commissions worked, and how people were actually making money.
It took me about a month just to understand what I was doing. And honestly, it was hard.
Sometimes I look back and think, Why didn’t I just take a course? If I had known what I know now, I could have saved myself so much time. I often wonder how different those early months might have been with a little guidance.
But struggling through it taught me something, too: if I really want something, I can figure it out.
While I was pregnant, I had started building a social media account. I shared recipes and little pieces of my life, and slowly, I built an audience.
Then, in July 2025, I had a strong feeling that I should apply for the Amazon Influencer Program and give it a real try. So I did.
When I got accepted, I was over the moon. This thing I had tried, given up on, forgotten about, and returned to was finally real.
I immediately started working on my three qualifying videos. Each one took about two hours to film and edit because I was still learning everything. When those videos were accepted too, I knew I was officially in.
That was the moment I told myself: Okay. I’m really going to do this.
I started posting. A lot.
I would wait until my son was sleeping and then work: filming, editing, uploading, learning, researching, and doing it all over again. There were nights when I barely slept because I was so excited and motivated.
I still remember seeing my first $0.80. Eighty cents. To someone else, that might sound like nothing. But to me, it meant everything.
Those 80 cents showed me it was working. It wasn’t just something I was watching other people do online anymore. I was actually making money from my own videos.
From that moment, I felt even more motivated. I kept posting, learning, and improving every day.
About two weeks after I started, I began reaching out to brands to ask whether they would send me products to create content for. Then it happened: I received my first free product.
I remember thinking, Wait… someone actually sent me this because of what I’m doing?
That was when it became real for me. This wasn’t just about making a few videos. I could build something from home, while being a mom. And maybe, one day, I could become financially free.
From there, things kept growing. I continued creating videos, working with brands, and receiving more products. Eventually, it became hundreds of products every month.
I did all of this around my life as a mom. My son always came first. I worked when I had time—during naps, after bedtime, or whenever I had a free moment.
I never wanted work to take away from being his mom. I was building something because of my family.
What started with a few videos, a laptop on the couch, a sleeping baby, and 80 cents turned into something I never imagined.
In my first year, I generated over $100,000.
Sometimes I still look at that number and think, How did this actually happen?
I started without knowing what I was doing. English is my second language. I was a new mom, with no mentor and no one teaching me. I didn’t know the right strategy. At first, I didn’t even know where to start.
But I started anyway. That’s the part of my story I want you to remember.
If I could learn this while holding my baby and figuring everything out one step at a time, you can learn it too.
Today, I’m grateful to God for this opportunity, grateful that I didn’t give up, and grateful for my family. I’m grateful for the freedom to help the people I love, give back, travel, buy things without constantly worrying about whether we can afford them, and build a future I once only dreamed about.
And honestly, I feel like I’m just getting started. After generating over $100,000 in my first year, I’m excited to see what the next few years will bring.
I know there are so many stay-at-home moms who want to make money of their own. Maybe you want to contribute to your household, buy things for yourself without asking your husband, help your parents, or simply have something that’s yours.
Or maybe you’re like I was: you have no idea where to start.
That’s why I decided to teach what I’ve learned. I don’t want another mom to spend months on the couch with her baby, watching thousands of videos and trying to figure everything out alone.
I want to make the process easier and show you what I wish someone had shown me from the beginning.
I’ll teach you step by step how to get started, create your videos, grow, work with brands, and increase your opportunities. I’ll share the lessons I learned along the way—the things I wish I had known on day one.
I didn’t have to be perfect or know everything. I just had to start.
If a 25-year-old mom, with a baby sleeping on her chest, a laptop on the couch, and English as her second language could figure this out… you can learn it too.
You just have to believe in yourself enough to start.
My experience, my milestones, and the context behind the numbers.
Eighty cents might not sound like much, but to me, it meant possibility. My videos were earning something—and that gave me the confidence to keep going.
